KENSINGTON TOWN HOUSE, LONDON

Top to bottom renovation and extension for a young family in Brook Green West London

This Victorian town house had to be completely gutted and redesigned for a young family who had recently moved back to London from Hong Kong. We worked with their builder to create a new rear extension that became a wonderful open plan kitchen and enviable pantry. We designed all new electrical, lighting and heating schemes, and we installed a huge contemporary roof light that floods the stairwell with natural light. We selected new architectural features, such as cornices, skirting and fireplaces that were sympathetic to the Victorian roots of the house. The last step was layering in the finishes and furniture. The result is a peaceful yet elegant family home that is perfect for playdates and smart cocktail parties.
